The stock iOS 7 text editing is still far from perfection, which give developers on Jailbreak to create a tool that even engineers at Apple will find amazingly smart. The latest tweak to hit the best Cydia apps list will take text editing on smartphone to the level next. The app called SwipeSelection Pro, is the paid version of the widely used jailbreak tweak.
The SwipeSelection, enhances the text editing feature available on the iOS based devices by employing the smart and intuitive gestures.
The tweak once installed, allows user to simply swipe over the iOS virtual keyboard to shift the text insertion point by character, making the whole editing process much quicker and easier. The application also allows you to use two fingers gesture to move the text insertion point by word. Similarly, one can select text using gesture like holding on the Shift key on the iOS keyboard app.
Now, the developer behind the lite version has released the Pro edition, which obviously is not free, but adds a long list of features that is much more valuable that the $2 price tag. The good thing about the Pro version is that the tweak is fully compatible with the iOS 7 and iPhone 5S.
The long list of features offered includes:
- Adjust the swipe speed and sensitivity according to your comfort
- Alter the swipe area from the whole keyboard to the space bar
- Enable a switch to turn on or off the SwipeSelection by simply tapping over the shift key thrice.
- Use three finger swipe to take the text insertion point to the start or end of a document, and this work best on iPad
- Support for other languages
